A Bit About Me
With a rich history in Adult and then Children’s Services, and a pivotal role in the NHS as a team lead at a Ysgol Y Deri Special School, my journey has been dedicated to working with families. In 2018, I transitioned into private practice as an Occupational Therapist and Case Manager, specialising in supporting brain-injured children and their families.
I continue my work as an Occupational Therapist, with a focus on Sensory Integration and Sensory Attachment based Interventions. I assess and provide interventions for children, young people and adults who have experienced trauma and struggle with challenges that affects their ability to engage in everyday activities.
Apart from being an Occupational Therapist, I am interested in holistic therapies and trained as a Reiki/Master Teacher several years ago. I enjoy being in nature, and bring this into my practice whenever possible. I love spending time with friends and family, I love to travel, and I’m never without a book!
My extensive experience and diverse qualifications have uniquely positioned me to co-found Mind In2 Action with Kelly Lewis, a longtime colleague who shares my vision and dedication. Together, we developed an evidence-based programme, bringing together, Occupational Therapy, Psychology and holistic wellbeing approaches. We aim to empower adults to understand their central nervous system; explore practical and realistic coping strategies; and shift their focus towards a more positive future.
